Last updated 13 February 2019
Our Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP, or Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP)) explains how Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (BFRS) aims to manage risks and keep our communities safe, now and into the future and, through consultation, involves the community in the development of their local Fire and Rescue Service.
You can view a summary version of our current CRMP covering 2015-2019 here.
We are currently consulting on our new CRMP covering 2019-2023. You can read it and give us your views here.
The CRMP provides an overview of our plans to deal with local risks such as fires, floods and road traffic collisions. The plan also deals with how BFRS is working to create safer, healthier and more resilient communities, and deliver social and public value to the communities we serve.
The CRMP contains the Service’s key priorities, objectives and recent achievements so that local people are aware of its wider role in protecting and supporting all the county’s communities, delivering a diverse range of community safety initiatives alongside local, regional and national partners.
Finally it also highlights the Service’s excellent operational response in fighting fires, rescuing people from road traffic collisions and dealing with water related incidents, ensuring the people of Bedfordshire are as safe and well as possible.
