Luton Community Fire Station Open Day Local Firefighters are throwing open the doors of Luton Community Fire Station for their Open Day on Saturday 11 August between 12:00pm to 4:00pm and inviting everyone to come along. Come along and see the fire appliances we use to help you and learn more about fire safety. Firefighters are organising an afternoon of fun and discovery for the whole family. This year they are focusing on the safety of young people. There will be a live demonstration showing how quickly a fire can develop in a property. There will plenty going on during the afternoon, including Equipment demos including Hydraulic Rescue Equipment, Water Rescue Equipment and good old fashioned ladders and more Firefighters Charity stall Fire Appliance displays Food and cakes. Local organisation stalls. Fire Service treasure trail using appliance based trump cards. The Open Day promises to be a fun-filled event with plenty of opportunities for children and adults to learn more about your local fire station and its Firefighters. Station Commander Stuart Breton says “Everyone is welcome and everyone’s invited. Open days are a fantastic family day out and a great opportunity for people to come and find out about their local station and the services we provide to our local community.
