Burns Awareness Day (17 October)
Burns Awareness Day (17 October) is a national day to highlight the importance of keeping yourself and your loved ones safe from harm.
Firefighters from Dunstable Red Watch will be at Houghton Regis Leisure Centre between 3pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday 17 October to talk to members of the public about how they can prevent burn and scald injuries, with particular focus on how to keep children safe from every day hazards as the winter months approach.
The crew will be providing free safety information and first aid advice and would love to answer any questions you may have. There will also be expert knowledge on hand from the Children’s Burns Trust.
Come along to meet the crew for a chat and find out what small steps you can take to prevent your child from becoming a statistic.
