Building fire

At 9.54pm on Thursday (24) crews from Kempston and Bedford were called a large fire at a property under construction in Four Acre Drive, Wixams.  

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find a two-storey building completely on fire. Crews used an aerial platform from Bedford to tackle the fire with water from a water carrier from Kempston and four hose reels and jets. An incident command unit was used to manage the incident and a drone from Harrold was also used to assess the fire.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted.
