Building fire

At 8.08pm on Friday (25) crews from Luton, Stopsley, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard were called a fire in a laundry room caused by a tumble dryer at Luton Town Football Club.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire from an aerial platform and a 9m ladder using two hose reels. A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hotspots. 

During the incident Hatters Way was closed for a short period due to a number of engines onsite.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
