Fire in a commercial building

At 4.06pm on Wednesday (4) a crew from Luton was called to reports of a commercial building fire. 

When crews arrived, they found an industrial lithium ion battery on fire. Firefighters worked with the team on site to safely relocate the battery and extinguish the fire using dry powder extinguishers and jets. A man was treated for smoke inhalation on site and was not taken to hospital. The crew remained at the scene to check for hotspots with a thermal imaging camera. 

The cause was accidental.
