At 1.00pm on Wednesday (18) crews from Kempston, Luton and Stopsley were called to waste in a waste vehicle on fire in Caddington.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Full carriageway closure was put in place.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
