At 11.50am on Monday (23), a crew from Sandy was called to a fire in a field on the A1 northbound, between the A1(M) Baldock (Herts) and Biggleswade South Roundabout.

At 11.50am on Monday (23), a crew from Sandy was called to a fire in a field on the A1 northbound, between the A1(M) Baldock (Herts) and Biggleswade South Roundabout.
The fire involved approximately 20m x 30m of uncut grass.
Firefighters used an extended hose reel, beaters, and a high-pressure lance to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
