Commercial building fire - Leighton Buzzard

At 9.40pm on Monday (24) two crews from Leighton Buzzard were called to car fire inside a single story car showroom in Grovebury Road, Leighton Buzzard. 

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels, a covering jet and a safety jet to extinguish the fire. They also used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots. 

The car was 60% damaged by fire and the building was 100% damaged by smoke. Two further cars were damaged by heat and five cars were damaged by smoke. 

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
