Fire in the open - Great Barford
At 5.41pm on Friday (4) crews from Sandy and Kempston were called to a shed fire that had spread to nearby fencing, a single storey commercial storage building and a single storey domestic store in Nightingale Road, Great Barford.
At 5.41pm on Friday (4) crews from Sandy and Kempston were called to a shed fire that had spread to nearby fencing, a single storey commercial storage building and a single storey domestic store in Nightingale Road, Great Barford.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots.
The garden shed and nearby fencing was 100% destroyed by fire. The commercial storage building was 20% damaged by fire and 100% damaged by smoke. The domestic store was 50% damaged by smoke and fire.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
