Fire in the open – Renhold

At 6.45pm on Friday (4), a crew from Harrold was called to a deep-seated fire in grassland on Ravensden Road, Renhold.

The fire measured approximately 5m x 5m. Firefighters used beaters, backpack sprayers, a thermal imaging camera, and a high-pressure lance from a multi-role vehicle to extinguish the fire and damp down the surrounding area.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
