Fire in the open – Wootton

At 1.58pm on Saturday (5), a crew from Kempston was called to a fire in a rear garden on Wootton Green, Wootton.

The fire had spread to the rear door and window of a terraced house, causing smoke damage to the kitchen. Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The remainder of the property was scanned with a thermal imaging camera, and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
