Fire in the open – Luton

At 7.58pm on Saturday (5), crews from Luton and Stopsley were called to a fire in a domestic garden on Pennine Avenue, Luton.

The fire originated from an incinerator and spread to a shed, bushes, and fences, affecting an area of approximately 8m x 8m. 

Firefighters used an extended hose reel, a 52mm jet supplemented by a hydrant, and thermal imaging cameras. The shed was 100% damaged by fire, and the electricity supply was isolated. There was minor damage to the fascia board of a neighbouring school building.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
