Fire in the open – Lower Stondon

At 10.18pm on Saturday (5), crews from Biggleswade and Hitchin were called to a fire on Station Road, Lower Stondon.

The fire damaged approximately 15m x 5m of trees and hedgerow, as well as two wheelie bins at the back of a property. Firefighters used two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
