Building Fire – Luton

At 5.52am on Monday (7), crews from Luton and Stopsley were called to a domestic building on Hartley Road, Luton.

The two-storey building, measuring approximately 5m x 10m, was being used as domestic flats. A small fire had occurred on top of a cooker in a first-floor kitchen. 

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel and positive pressure ventilation fans to extinguish the fire and remove smoke. 

One adult male was assisted from the property by the fire service.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
