Kitchen fire – Maulden

At 12:34am on Wednesday (9), crews from Ampthill and Kempston were called to a kitchen fire at a property on Elgin Gardens, Maulden.

On arrival, firefighters found a fire involving a microwave. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Positive pressure ventilation was also used to remove smoke from the property.

There was no fire or smoke damage to the property.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
