At 5.20pm on Friday (18), crews from Kempston and Bedford were called to a fire in the open on Hillgrounds Road, Kempston.
The fire involved grass and undergrowth measuring approximately 20m by 20m.
Firefighters used one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
