Domestic building fire – Luton

At 6.22pm on Saturday (20), crews from Luton and Stopsley were called to a fire in a domestic garage on Villa Road, Luton.

The fire involved a garage attached to a two-storey, four-bedroom semi-detached house. The garage was 70 per cent involved in fire, which had spread to a first-floor bedroom via the wall cavity.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet, and positive pressure ventilation fans to tackle the blaze.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
