Fire in industrial hopper – Bedford

At 6.42pm on Monday (28), crews from Bedford and Kempston attended a building fire on Mile Road, Bedford.

The fire involved an industrial hopper.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire and check for further spread.

A full internal inspection of external filters and ducting was completed.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
