Fire in the open - Henlow

At 10.09pm on Friday (1) crews from Sandy and Shefford were called to a fire involving a bench that had spread to nearby grass in Church Road, Henlow.

Firefighters used backpack sprayers and a high pressure lance to extinguish the fire. The bench was 100% destroyed by fire and 8m by 8m of grass was burnt. 

The cause of the fire was deliberate.
