Domestic building fire - Luton

At 5.53pm on Thursday (7) 4 crews across Bedfordshire - from Dunstable, Luton and Stopsley - were called to a fire in a 6 storey building in Chapel Street, Luton. The fire was in the first floor communal kitchen of student accommodation. 

Firefighters using breathing apparatus used a hose reel and covering jet to extinguish the fire. They also used a thermal imaging camera to look for hot spots. 5% of the kitchen was damaged by the fire. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
