At 12.49am on Saturday (9) crews from Bedford and Kempston were called to a fire involving a gas powered artic large good vehicle on the A421, Great Barford.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to extinguish the fire and thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots. The tractor unit was 100% destroyed by fire and the trailer unit was 20% destroyed by fire.
The incident has been left in care of the Police and Recovery.
