Fire in the open – Bedford

At 5.03pm on Saturday (9), crews from Bedford and Kempston were called to a fire in the open on Coombs Close, Bedford.

The fire had spread across several gardens, affecting sheds and shrubs, and also spread to a property on Nicholls Road. One dog was rescued by firefighters.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used four hose reels to bring the fire under control.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
