Details of incidents attended by Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
At 1.23pm on Wednesday (20) two crews from Dunstable were called to a house fire in Fedora Way, Houghton Regis. The fire was in a first floor bedroom of a semi detached house. The property was 5% damaged by fire and 20% damaged by smoke.
Firefighters using breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and safety jet to extinguish the fire. They used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots and a gas monitor, then used a positive pressure ventilator fan to remove the smoke.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
At 1.37pm on Wednesday (20) a crew from Biggleswade and a crew from Sandy were called to a road traffic collision on Biggleswade Road, Sutton. The collision involved a can and a van.
Firefighters used hydraulic small tools to release a 77 year old woman trapped in a vehicle. The woman was left in the care of the ambulance service.
At 3.39pm on Wednesday (20) a crew from Shefford was called to fire at Arlesey Town Football Ground, Arlesey. The fire involved approximately 3 hay bales.
Firefighters used stack drags and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
At 5.52pm on Wednesday (20) a crew from Stopsley was called to a small fire in Woodlands near Harvey's Hill, Bushmead. The fire measured approximately 2m x 2m.
Firefighters used back pack sprayers to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
At 7.33pm on Wednesday (20) two crews from Dunstable and a crew from Kempston were called to a road traffic collision on Toddington Road, Westoning. The collision involved two cars and a female casualty was trapped.
Firefighters used e-draulics, power tools and small tools in order to release the woman and left her in the care of the ambulance service.
At 8.15pm on Wednesday (20) a crew from Luton was called to a small fire in a field in Luton Road, Chalton. The fire consisted of tree stumps and under growth.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
