Details of incidents attended by Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service
At 3:05am on Thursday (28) a crew from Luton was called to a fire in a wooded area measuring approximately 5m x 5m in Gypsy Lane, Luton.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
At 12:14pm on Thursday (28) two crews from Luton were called to a fire in the open at Challney High School for Girls, Luton. The fire was approximately 3m x 3m and involved waste in hedgerows and spread to a further 20m x 20m of grassland.
Firefighters used beaters and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
At 8:20pm on Thursday (29) two crews from Luton were called to a road traffic collision to release a person who was trapped in Sundon Road, Streatley. The road traffic collision involved one car located on its side in a ditch.
Firefighters used stabilisation equipment, a triple extension ladder, small tools and a thermal imaging camera to release the 30 year old female. Casualty showed no injuries. The vehicle was made safe by the fire service.
