Details of incidents attended by Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service
At 4.55pm on Saturday (6) a crew from Harrold were called to a fire in the open in Souldrop Road, Sharnbrook. An out of control bonfire had spread to approximately 10 tonnes of cut firewood.
Firefighters used shovels, stack drags and two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
At 9:07pm on Saturday (6) a crew from Stopsley was called to a fire involving 2 cars in Hitchin Road, Luton.
Firefighters using breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.

At 10:26pm on Saturday (6) a crew from Dunstable and a crew from Toddington were called to a fire in a single storey garage in Townfield Road, Flitwick. The fire measured approximately 5m x 3m. The garage and roof were 50% damaged by fire.
Firefighters using breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots. The electrics in the garage were isolated to make safe.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
