Details of incidents attended by Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service
At 11:01am on Sunday (7) a crew from Harrold were called to a fire in the open in Melchbourne Road, Swineshead, Bedford. A small fire on a verge was out on arrival, and a tree branch was on fire at the top of 15m high tree, believed to be caused by passing steam traction engine underneath.
Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
At 2:14pm on Sunday (7) a crew from Leighton Buzzard was called to a fire involving 15m x 5m of grass at Gilbert Inglefield Middle School, Vandyke Road, Leighton Buzzard.
Firefighters used a short extension ladder and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
At 4:12pm on Sunday (7) a crew from Luton was called to a car on fire at Osborne Road, Luton.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used small tools and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

At 6:20pm on Sunday (7) a crew from Kempston was called to a small fire in the open on Vine Close, Kempston.
Firefighters used a backpack sprayer to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
At 11.24pm a crew from Bedford was called to two domestic vehicles on fire in Bromham Road, Biddenham, Bedford.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
