Details of incidents attended by Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service
At 4pm on Saturday (4) a crew from Luton was called to a fire in a back garden on Abbotts Wood Road, Luton.
Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
At 4.21pm on Saturday (4) a crew from Kempston was called to a moped 100% destroyed by fire in Abbey Fields, Bedford.
Firefighters used backpack sprayers to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
At 5.21pm on Saturday (4) a crew from Luton was called to a fire in a back garden in Old Bedford Road, Luton. The fire consisted of garden waste.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
At 5.39pm on Saturday (4) two crews from Kempston and a crew from Luton were called to a road traffic collision on the A6 involving two cars.
Firefighters rescued one female casualty from a vehicle and two further casualties self extricated. All casualties were left in the hands of paramedics with minor injuries.
At 6:55pm on Saturday (4) a crew from Kempston was called to a car 100% destroyed by fire on M1 jc 13.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
