Firefighters were called to a domestic building fire in Marsh Road, Luton, at 1:42 am on 30 December 2024.
Crews from Luton attended with two fire appliances, supported by an aerial platform from Bedford.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets, a covering jet, and a safety jet to bring the fire under control. A thermal imaging camera and the aerial platform were also used during the operation.
The incident caused extensive damage, with 50% of the roof affected by smoke and significant water damage to the property.
Police are now guarding the scene and a fire investigation is underway to determine the cause.
At 4.09pm on Friday (12) crews from Toddington and Dunstable were called to a small kitchen fire at a property in Longleat Close, Flitwick.
At 7.49pm on Saturday (6) two crews from Luton along with crews from Stopsley and Leighton Buzzard were called to a small fire in a microwave in Sylam Close, Luton.
